Bench jockey Bridge has instead signed for championship rivals Reading.
Former Spurs boss Redknapp is furious with owner Tony Fernandes over his persistent delaying tactics.
He said: “Tony only speaks in riddles. He kept saying ‘we’ll cross that bridge when we come to it’ and ‘it may be a bridge too far’.
“I told him, the lad is perfect for us; he’s overrated and loves not achieving his full potential.”
Fernandes was also quick to comment on the situation.
He said: “If me and Harry can bridge our differences we can cement our relationship.
“It’s all water under the bridge now as the player had signed for Reading.”
However, venerable tax payer Redknapp is not so sanguine about the situation and looks set to quit the club.
Of course, there are plenty of sides that would want the media friendly but tactical incompetent cockney to helm their futile projects.
Redknapp’s agent, known only as Tony The Ticket, insisted the coach has been inundated with inquiries.
He said: “Harry is hot property. Many clubs, from places like the UAE and the Channel Islands, have been interested in taking our calls.”
