JOE Kinnear has hit back at fans criticising his impending appointment as Newcastle director of football, claiming he is “more intelligent” than his critics.
In a 15 minute interview with TalkSPORT, Kinnear displayed some of that much useful intelligence by lying about players he claimed to sign and mispronouncing names of key players in the Newcastle team.
Players Yohan Cabab and Shola Amamobi must be thrilled at the appointment, although last time I checked the team sheet, there were no such players in the squad.
Along with Kinnear’s failure to read or speak properly, he also claims to have signed keeper Tim Krul during his spell as Newcastle boss.
With Tim Krul being signed in 2005, you would have to assume that there are in fact two Tim Kruls.
Saying that, even with two Tim Kruls next season they would still have difficulties not conceding shed loads of goals.
Kinnear also states that the Geordie fans have been “brainwashed by the media into thinking he was a poor appointment”, as opposed to realising that his appalling record as boss, hostile nature and incompetent nature had anything to do with it.
It’s clear to see that Newcastle are turning into a bit of a joke. At least the appointment of Kinnear is showing Mike Ashley’s consistency in hiring useless members of staff.
