The former Manchester United reserve insists he excels at underachieving and being a loser.
He said: “For me losing matches is a pleasure, it makes my job a lot easier.
“The players don’t have to work hard in training and I don’t have to force awkward conversation with other managers after beating them.
“I think there is a certain humble romance in being a total loser. Also I don’t have the skills or mental capacity to do my job properly….so obviously that’s a factor as well.”
Solskjaer also confirmed that he carries a rope tied in a noose with him at all times.
He said: “Yes I always have my trusty noose for when the time comes.
“I am quite comfortable with the fact that one day I will decide to hang myself and I wouldn’t like to trouble anybody else for a rope. I’m very practical in that sense.”
