Terminally ill football club Rangers are to have an entire episode of ITV blooper show You’ve Been Framed chronicle their embarrassing downfall.
The show, which will be hosted by former owner Craig Whyte, will encompass everything from their financial meltdown to last season’s slip ups to minnows such as Annan Athletic.
A producer for the long running programme revealed that the pathetic state of the club, coupled with their dark history, made them an obvious choice for a send-up.
“What has happened at Rangers is hilarious.
“It’s like a classic comedy, but with an emotional core, that the whole family can sit around and enjoy.
“One minute you’re laughing your ass off at the desperate fans struggling their way through life, and in an instant your crying because a builder, who has just been released from prison, has scored the winner against them in a league that no one watches or cares about.
“That’s drama. That’s real life.”
The news that Craig Whyte, who is descended from lizard people who live at the Earth’s core, is presenting the show, will likely irk Gers fans.
But, a spokesperson for the controversial liar has insisted his intentions are sound.
“Mr Whyte loves Rangers and is only presenting this programme because he is a money obsessed lunatic with no sense of right and wrong.”
