The news comes after Edinburgh giant Hearts became the latest club to admit they are incompetent and enter administration.
But SPL Chief Neil Doncaster insists that there has been no contact from Dignitas.
He said: “These claims are shocking.
“It’s simply an excuse for the press to liken us to a terminally ill middle class person who craves attention.
“While we have looked into running away or pretending that everything is ok, the idea of putting Scottish football out its misery is reprehensible.”
However, in complete contrast to Doncaster’s statement, Swiss organisation Dignitas have released their detailed correspondence with the Scots chief.
“It is true that we have been in contact with the SPL.
“Of course we have watched from a far their pathetic attempts to replicate professional sport within their country and thought we should step in.
“While Mr Doncaster was very interested it became apparent that they could not afford our services.”
