Striker Wayne Rooney is reportedly ‘angry and confused’ after misplacing his favourite toy.
He said: “I’m sure I left it over there – next to the Sully Monster Mask.
“Co-leeen,what have you done with it?!”
The toy in question is thought to be a Teksta Puppy – a lifelike robotic dog that responds to both voice commands, physical gestures and flashing lights.
“I was really wanting to play with him!” wailed a visibly distressed Rooney, who then kicked over his Little Tykes Easyscore Basketball set.
Rooney returned home from a pre-season tour of Thailand with a hamstring injury, with the EPL champions squaring off against Singha All-Star XI.
After pushing over the indoor Swingball Set – thought to be a Christmas gift from former manager, Alex Ferguson, and his wife, Cathy – and searching his vast playroom, Rooney settled down with his Furby doll in the corner.
“It’s not fair, James,” the England star was heard to mutter to the doll.
“I never get to play with my toys when I want to,” he said, before pushing away a V-tech Switch and Go Dino, which were kindly handed to him by his son Kai, and then shouting, “go aw-ay! I don’t want to play with you!”
